Wight (ワイト, Waito?), also known as Specter, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It is always depicted as an undead enemy or its variation and is often suspectible to Fire and Holy-elemental abilities.

Wight is an undead-type enemy in the original Final Fantasy. It can be encountered in the Cavern of Earth and the Cavern of Ice. It is a weak opponent which can be easily disposed of by the means of Fire or Dia line of spells. Since the GBA release, Wight's regular attack may inflict Paralysis.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Wight is an undead-type enemy which appears in Crystals: Subterrane in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It relies solely on physical attacks and can be easily dispatched with Fire- and Holy-elemental abilities, and takes quadruple damage from Silver weapons. It absorbs Drain and Osmose abilities. It is one of the few enemies in The After Years to not have appeared in Final Fantasy IV.

Wight is a Phantom-type fiend which appears in the Farplane and Via Infinito floors 75 to 79. It can use Blizzaga, Thundaga, Waterga, Demi, and Doom. It can be easily dispatched using Holy-elemental abilities.

Wight is a member of the Skeleton family. They can appear normally is Gusgen Mines and the Maze of Shakhrami, but can also spawn at night in various overworld regions.

Wight is a Winged Cie'th which appears in the Pulse Vestige and Lake Bresha. As an early enemy, they pose little threat to the party. Ranged attacks and abilities have a better chance to hit it due to its high evasion.

Wight refers to "a person of a specified kind, especially one regarded as unfortunate." In literary terms, it refers to "a spirit, ghost, or other supernatural being."
