The General appears as an enemy encountered in the Cyclone, Castle Palamecia, and the Iron Bars section of the Arcane Labyrinth. It is a relatively strong enemy that drops valuable equipment such as the Rune Axe and Dragon Armor.

The General appears a boss encountered in Eureka, guarding the Excalibur. He uses strong physical attacks and spells such as Bio, Drain, and Death.
Final Fantasy IV
The General, also known as the Officer, appears as an enemy encountered in Kaipo when resting at the inn for the first time after the events of Mist. The General does not attack, instead appearing in command of three Baron Soldiers, and will flee if all of his subordinates are defeated first. Inversely, defeating the General first will inflict confusion upon any remaining Baron Soldiers.

The General appears as an enemy encountered in the Magitek Research Facility, having exceptionally high Defense and innate protect, making magic the recommended way of defeating them. They fight by using regular attacks, Bio Attack, and Cura. The character Leo Christophe also has the General job, granting him access to the powerful Shock ability.
