The Undergrounder (アンダグランダ, Andaguranda?), also known as the Tunneler, Centpede, or Groundpede, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It first appeared in Final Fantasy IV. They are dangerous enemies owing to their frequent use of Earthquake.

The Undergrounder is an enemy fought exclusive to the Dawn of Souls and 20th Anniversary releases, being a dangerous foe due to its constant usage of the Earthquake ability.
Final Fantasy IV
The Undergrounder, also known as the Tunneler or Centpede, is an enemy fought on the overworld map in the Underworld. It attacks often with the Earthquake ability.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
The Tunneler is first fought as a boss in Ceodore's tale in the Mist Cave, then later as a normal enemy during the Crystals Tale around Damcyan and Agart. In both battles, it will constantly attack using Earthquake as before.
Final Fantasy IV -Interlude-
The Tunneler is an enemy fought at the Sealed Cave area, and later as a boss in the Tower of Babil. It uses Earthquake in both battles as well as the Constrict ability, and in the boss fight, countering all attacks with Earthquake during the boss battle.
Final Fantasy V
The Undergrounder, also known as the Groundpede, is an enemy fought at the Gil Cave, attacking with Earthquake constantly, making them into a high threat without the Float spell.
Final Fantasy Dimensions
The Tunneler is an enemy fought at Cave to Deist and Cave to Yggdrasil, and while not being a difficult foe, they have access to the moderately powerful Earthquake skill.

The Tunneler from Final Fantasy IV appears as a boss.
