The Gigantoad (ギガントード, Gigantōdo?), also known as the CaveToad, Gigan Toad, GigaToad, or Giant Toad, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy II. Befitting its name, it is depicted as a gigantic toad. It can often inflict the poison status.

Final Fantasy II
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy fought in the Great Desert, Deist Cavern and Cave of Mysidia. Its attacks may inflict Poison.
Final Fantasy III
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy encountered in the Sewers. In addition to being a random encounter, a group of Gigantoads are fought in a scripted battle to save the Fellows. It is easily defeated using Lightning attacks, and is a relatively weak enemy.
Final Fantasy IV
The Gigantoad, also known as the CaveToad, appears as an enemy encountered in the Underground Waterway. It can cast Toad, which can inflict the status of the same name. As it is weak to Ice, it can easily be defeated with Blizzard spells.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy encountered in the Sylph Cave, Impact Crater, Troia Castle Waterway, Underground Waterway, and Challenge Dungeon during Rydia, Edge, Yang, and Palom's tales.
Final Fantasy VI
The Gigantoad, also known as the Gigan Toad or GigaToad, appears as an enemy encountered on the southern continent of World of Ruin.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy encountered in the Gongaga Region.
Final Fantasy IX
The Gigan Toad appears as an enemy encountered in Qu's Marshes. It can provide Frog Drop to Quina when Eaten.
Final Fantasy XI
The Gigantoad appears as a doomed notorious monster. It first appeared as a world boss during the Mysterious Gigantic Creatures Spotted! event in 2003, which served as a stress test for servers. It later returned during the Heroines' Holdfast battlefield; initially released in celebration of Final Fantasy XI's tenth anniversary, the item needed to access the battlefield only becomes available during special events.
Final Fantasy XII
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy encountered in the Garamsythe Waterway and during the rains in the Giza Plains. When appearing in the latter, it jumps out of swamps or bushes.
Final Fantasy XIV
The Gigantoad appears as a family of wavekin, with the common Gigantoad being encountered as an enemy in Eastern La Noscea. Gigantoads are infamous for their Sticky Tongue ability, which pulls their target towards them. Sticky Tongue can be learned by Blue Mage.
Final Fantasy XV
The Gigantoad appears as an enemy encountered in Duscae and Cleigne during rainy weather between 04:00 and 20:29. It also appears in Malmalam Thicket during the sidequest The Professor's Protégé - Gigantoad, and near Longwythe Peak during a timed quest.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
The Gigan Toad appears as an enemy encountered in Conall Curach and Veo Lu Sluice. It has the rare drop of Toad Oil, which is used to craft the time resistant armors. It also can drop most of the universal random loot, like Rainbow Grapes and Alloy.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
The Giant Toad appears as an enemy encountered in Wintry Cave. It is capable of inflicting the Poison status to party members with its Poison Fluid attack.
