Shatotto Shato is non-player character in Final Fantasy XIV. She was a legendary Mhachi archmage. Shatotto founded the art that came to be known as Black Magic.

History
Shatotto was born in the Fifth Astral Era (ca. 800) in the fabled city of Mhach. Driven to seek the ultimate in destructive power, she founded the art that came to be known as black magic. Subsequently, she used her prodigious powers to destroy a comet that threatened to destroy her nation and reduced it to seemingly harmless fragments. However, she later calculated that a fragment of the comet would return to threaten Hydaelyn once more and sealed away a copy of her memories to act as her agent addressing this threat in the future.[1]
Shatotto passed at the age of seventy-five.
