History
Early life
Born in the Tesh'pyani village in Yyasulani, Iyaate was a childhood friend of Cahciua. Although Iyaate was skilled with the bow, she never matched her friend's skills. After the birth of Cahciua's son, Elene'shpya, Cahciua often left him in Iyaate's care while departing on expeditions in search of the unknown. Around ten years prior, Iyaate left the village in hopes of earning money while traveling across Tural.[1]
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
Following Wuk Lamat's completion of the rite of succession, Iyaate received a visit from Elene'shpya—now known as Erenville—after three years apart. He explained that he now went by the name Erenville and was on his way to visit their home village once more. During their conversation, they heard a cry for help.[1]
Once they managed to capture the bandits and return the bracelet to Namikka, Iyaate was surprised that the bandit leader was none other than the deputy chief of Dustwatch. Iyaate also revealed that train service was suspended due to the recent earthquake damaging the tracks.[2]
After the tracks were repaired and Namikka boarded the train to Yyasulani, a dome appeared covering the region. It was followed by an army that emerged from it to attack Tuliyollal. Some mechanical soldiers who were part of this army surrounded Sheshenewezi Springs, but Estinien Varlineau and Zekowa appeared and dealt with them all in an instant, saving Iyaate and everyone in the city.[3]
In an attempt to invade the dome, Xak Tural Railing proposed using the train to destroy the fortress surrounding it. To bring the plan to completion, the Warrior of Light and Wuk Lamat called upon people from across the continent whom they had met during the rite of succession. Iyaate assisted the Warrior of Light in acquiring the purest fire-aspected crystals needed to construct the aetheric cannons that would protect the train before it reached its target. After the crystals were gathered, Iyaate also contributed directly as labor, helping with the modifications to the locomotive.[4]
After extensive effort from everyone involved, Shenza announced that the "Dawnblazer" was complete. As planned, the fuel-laden locomotive accelerated toward the fortress at high speed. Moments before impact, Nitowikwe and all passengers leapt from the train. The resulting explosion breached the structure, opening a path for the Warrior of Light's party to enter the dome.[5]
