Northern Cross (ノーザンクロス, Nōzan Kurosu?), also known as N. Cross, is a recurring enemy ability in the Final Fantasy series.

Northern Cross is an enemy ability used by Fiend, Ice Dragon, Kaiser Dragon, Prometheus, Ultima Buster, Tiger, Muud Suud, and Fiend Dragon. It inflicts frozen to the party with a hit rate of 90, and is considered 
Ice-elemental despite not dealing any damage. The ability does not remove invisible status when it fails to inflict frozen. It has a success rate of 90%, but even after making the accuracy check, each target has a random chance of not being frozen. In the Pixel Remaster, Northern Cross no longer randomly freezes targets after an accuracy check. It is vulnerable to Runic and costs 20 MP to cast. Gau is able to utilize Northern Cross through the Fiend Dragon Rage.

Northern Cross is an enemy ability used by Maximum Kimaira. It inflicts Poison to one party member and costs 30 MP to cast.
