Triple Attack (トリプルアタック, Toripuru Atakku?), also known as Tri-Attack, is recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series.

Appearances

Final Fantasy VII

Triple Attack is an enemy ability used by Sneaky Step. It deals moderate Hit-elemental damage.

Final Fantasy X

Triple Attack is an enemy ability used by Fafnir. Triple Attack itself is almost identical to Fafnir's normal attack, the only differences are that it has quick hit properties, and it cannot break the damage limit. However, in the same turn, it is immediately followed with an elemental breath attack, and then another physical attack, thus the name Triple Attack is most likely referring to the three-attack combo as a whole.

Final Fantasy X-2

Final Fantasy XI

Triple Attack is a Thief-only job trait. There are two tiers, available at level 55 and 96 respectively. The exact formula that determines when this is activated is still a mystery. Every once in a while, instead of attacking once, the player with this ability will attack three times. The Triple Dagger and Assassin's Poulaines enhances this ability.

Triple Attack is also an enemy ability that delivers a threefold attack on a single target. It can be used by the Roc family.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Tri-Attack is both the Hydra and Greater Hydra's ability. It has a range of one, targets three adjacent panels and deals non-elemental physical damage.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

Triple Attack is an ability learned by Thief at level 46 (5★). It costs 15 MP and uses the default attack for hits, and deals physical damage with a modifier of 1x for 3 hits to one enemy.

Tri-Attack (三対の剣) is an ability learned by Gilgamesh (FFV) at level 100 (6★). It costs 32 MP to use and, when fully enhanced, deals 10 hits of physical damage with a modifier of 40x to one enemy. It uses the Stardust Ray chaining family.

World of Final Fantasy

Triple Attack is an active physical ability that inflicts neutral physical damage and hits 3 times on a single target for 6 AP. It has high topple strength. It can be used by Ghidra and Trihyde.
