Cheerleader (気合 or 気合い, Kiai?, lit. Battle Cry), also known as Psyched Up, Invigorate, and Battle Cry, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability used often to increase the attack power of the user.

Cheerleader is an ability for Cinque that requires 2 AP and is available at level 17. It has Cinque psych herself up to inflict more damage with her next attack.

Cheerleader: Effect ↑ requires 3 AP and is available after learning Cheerleader. It increases the effect of Cheerleader.

Cheerleader: AG ↓ requires 5 AP and is available after learning Cheerleader. It reduces the AG cost of Cheerleader.

Battle Cry is a passive ability learned by Tifa at level 105 (7★) and Tifa (FFVII: AC) at level 70 (6★). It increases DEF/SPR by 30% and LB gauge fill rate by 100%. Tifa's version can be upgraded to +2, which changes it to increases DEF/SPR by 60%, increases HP by 50%, increases LB gauge fill rate by 100%, and increases resistance to all status ailments by 100%.

Cheerleader is a Materia exclusive to Cinque. It increases ATK/MAG by 25% and enables access to the ability Cheer.
