Any chance of getting pink-tinted Battle Piece images for Berserk? We would need Strange, Normal, Hard and Expert, and Hard Enigma, Expert Enigma and Normal Enigma. Doreiku Kuroofangu 01:21, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

I won't be able to find any "pink" berserk battle pieces on the web, but I can change the colour balance on the images so that they look like a berserked battle piece, like this:-

I think they're a little bit pinker than that in the game, i.e. perhaps they ought to have a slightly higher colour saturation... but to be quite honest, I wouldn't worry about it. These should be perfectly fine -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 19:47, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

You may not be able to turn the original image any pinker, starting from grey (or yellow or brown) but surely you can now edit starting from the berserk image to make pink into pinkerer? :P Also, I notice that you used the phrase "colour balance"... what exactly do you mean by that? It sounds like it means the relative proportions of RGB in the image, whereas now we just need to increase the total colour saturation to make all of the colours in it a bit "stronger" -- Sorceror Nobody Flan 19:58, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
Colour Balance is a tool in GIMP. Turn the colour balance towards a colour and it accentuates that colour more than others. In this example, the red is accentuated more than the blue and green, making the image look pink. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 20:02, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Hello Jeppo. I would happen to have a question about the leagues you are running on your userpage, namely the following: Would you mind, if I were to start running something similar? It would not be about characters (or summons and enemies), and I would change the whole thing slightly, so to effectively make it a different thing from yours, since I do not want to plagiate from you. I said "Better Challenges" out of jest. I do mine in full because it is simply easier for me to do them in full. It's one page rather than several templates and it makes it look personal to the person I'm awarding them to. They may not know that I've got the code for all the awards stored on another page. Need an Outsider's Opinion

There is an ongoing discussion on the Talk:action encounter page as to the significance of the difference between action encounters and fixed encounters. All the arguments can be viewed on the first page, and though the debate has carried on for over a day now, I have noticed a lack of momentum, and thus thought it would be time to introduce a neutral third party to end the debate once and for all.

If you have the time, and no other has done so thus far, can you please review the debate and make a decision, as we both seem incapable of doing so at this point.

Also, in a rather unrelated matter (but I fear it will result in a similar stalemate as it is between and same person and I), could you please clarify if Garnet or Dagger is the appropriate title for Princess Garnet of Final Fantasy IX, in the context of a page such as Garland (Final Fantasy IX Boss).

That template will be pretty much obsolete, along with the boss pages, once all the boss stats are transferred to the storyline articles. Once they are all complete, I can't see any reason why one would want to keep those pages. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 19:10, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

As well as that, it would be a right royal pain in the backside to change to tabs. Although only one template would be needed, all twenty-two enemy pages would need to be restructured to support the tabbed template. Not worth the effort in my opinion. Two things - first, I think the Accessories part should go up beside the picture, because some of the taller pics can stretch out the other fields already there, the extra row will help reduce that. Probably because everyone got crappy presents at Christmas and where better to drown their sorrows than coming here to the FFWiki.
Unfortunately, the reason for my recent absence was due to an exploding computer. Well, it didn't literally explode, it just blue screened every time I tried to log on, which is even worse. At least an exploding computer would've looked spectacular, as long as it didn't do so near any of my other stuff. Or while it was on my lap. On second thoughts I think I should count myself lucky it didn't explode.
Anyway. my computer died of Blue Screen Of Death, and next month would have been hell if Gran Turismo 5 hadn't come out at the same time, and I managed to gather enough money from my kind relatives at Christmas (well, Christmas Eve), as well as use a good chunk of my own to get a new desktop computer. I've fallen out of love for laptops now. They keep 'exploding' on me.

Black Waltz

Preview Button

I am well aware of the preview button and how it is to be pressed to make sure you are content with a selection. However, the way my mind tends to work is that I'll look at something in the preview option, like how it looks, and save the page to notice it screws up another section's formatting. Hence it requires me to edit a section multiple times, previewing included. Sorry for the inconvenience. - The Final Fantasy 19:41, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Indeed, I had considered that. However, it causes a great deal of lag on my computer and makes editing the sections difficult in terms of organization and such. You don't have to. Removing a fight merely stops people from voting in it (unless they check the page history). As soon as I update the polls I quickly hit edit and then preview so that I can see all the fights that were there since my last edit, including the ones that have since been removed by helpers, even as I keep hitting Preview thereon.

Template Assistance

You're the guy besides JBed who knows the most about the Dissidia templates, so I need to ask your help. In 012 there are a new type of Battle Piece that pit you against a party of enemies in consecutive fights, meaning one Battle Piece represents several enemies, up to five I think. Here I tried to design a new variation of the Battle Piece template, using tabs within tabs, one tab for each opponent and the tab collectively for the Battle Piece, but it isn't working out. Just a note

The image wasn't "blown up", it was hi-res.link However the Wikia server is buggy for some reason and the images sometimes take some time to appear in their latest versions. On Wikipedia this sometimes happen and the user simply has to refresh his browser's cache, but sometimes it just takes some waiting. Rozan Shōryūha 11:46, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

FF13 colors

I made the change to turn the text black. However, in the process of editing the skin prior to the issue, I changed the Oasis links to a lighter blue than they were by mistake. I just changed them to a darker one that should likewise help the contrast, but I'd like you to be our benchmark for testing. To repeat and clarify, I was being sincere. I don't know why people have trouble reading it, but I certainly am not gonna go around changing the text color to every different shade of purple until I find one that other people can read alright. If you can play around with it and find a better color combination that still keeps the red and green as the bubble colors, go ahead, I don't mind. It does concern me that people say they can't read it, but I can't very well change the colors to fix it if I can't tell what they can and can't read.

EDIT - For the heck of it giving this shade a shot, but this is my best guess, I tried a lot of shades last night and this was my second choice.

XIII-2 Enemy Pages

I'm working on getting all of those done right now, actually. I'm working through it alphabetically, and I'm pretty much finished with everything that comes before the letter "C", i you want to get started with pages that are already complete. I'm working through the list now, adding all of the paradigm pack info and enemy info for the monsters, but yeah, it's kind of tough getting the info for every single tamable monster >_> I shall persevere, though! Anyhoo, for the blizball, total "accident". Dissidia, well, me and a friend of mine had a bet as to who could play the most matches in one day. Guess how THAT turned out? 238-221, victory to me.

It's for the good of the wiki. If the troll saw that, it may encourage them to troll more. There is nothing against the rules concerning removing something if you have a good reason to do it. There are no rules against using userboxes from wiki on another, but you would have to use the hard code rather than merely copying the link to the template. Also if the template you want features an image, you need to type the URL of the image for it to show up. Finally some userboxes uses classes that are only used on this wiki, for example FFXa. What I don't get is why I would make a thing about making the logo change a part of the skin change, but then people do not do the same for the other images that have been changed.
Also funnily enough, since I'm blocking the Halloween skin, the most inaccessible page for me is Jeppo's userpage.

I made my argument against the skin change and I lost, therefore I have since taken steps to try and reduce the negative effects the new skin has caused so that I'm still helping the wiki. That's what I mean by respecting the decision.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I need to see the wiki in the same way that most other users see it. At the moment that is the Halloween version of the wikia skin. That's why I've chosen not to block it.

I don't follow the Twitter account but saw your edit summary and looked at the question. You got it wrong. Onrac and Lufenia were not at war, they were actually allies, Cid and his wife took care of Chaos for Onrac and developed the Manikins for them. It was another nation, not named I believe, that they were fighting.

How do I rename the Hiroyuki Itō article?

You don't just move info to another page, or you lose the talk page, and the edit history. You need to use the Rename feature, but you can't rename an article into something that already exists, so the redirect needs to be deleted first. Only admins can delete stuff from the wiki. Microphone

You'll be pleased to hear I did indeed successfully secure a microphone. Now, it is a little echoey- okay, pretty echoey- but I've tested it out in Audacity and my voice comes through great. If the Teamspeak channel could be set up a little earlier than usual I can dive in and make sure everyone can hear me a good time before we start up to eliminate any issues.
