Works in progress
So in an attempt to get the wiki's help pages up to scratch (so things are up to date; so we don't have to rely on shared help; so things are relevant to the wiki) I have ended up writing parts of a lot of pages, and have ideas for more. I will detail them here:
- CSS
- System messages
- Glossary
- Search keys/GET params/"Parameters to index.php" (I don't know what to call this)
- Wikitext (which branches out into pages for a lot of things)
- Help:HTML (needs attrib doc)
- Help:MediaWiki
- Help:Lua (incomplete doc)
- Time (explain MW:{{#time}} and JS:Date.toString() parameters)
- Help:Mathematical Functions
- Geshi / Syntax highlighting (source lang, and the wikitext geshi when i write it, and some templates)
- So you...
- Settings (things a user has control over)
- MW tags
- Namespaces
- Special pages
- Redirects
- (reminder to read this)
Also I co-wrote part of FFwiki classes with Techno which could probably do with being put in helpspace (although we need to discuss it because I shifted focus from what he originally intended :p).
I'm also thinking of a "So you" help page, which should probably be a set of other help pages. Like "So you moved a page..." and then the contents would be the processes you have to go through when moving a page including finding templates it is used on and fixing links. A counterpart to the FAQ, which itself could probably do with rehashing. JBed (talk) 06:31, July 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Made some improvements to help:FAQ a few days ago, but it's still mostly out of date. So yeah, definitely support working on Help pages.
- Also, you can add pywikibot to the list. C A T U S E 06:38, July 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Would template documentations such as Template:Navbox/doc and Template:Lbox/doc be more suited to the Help mainspace?
- I support moving FFwiki classes to the help namespace, as soon as it's complete. Can be discussed on IRC, perhaps.
- "So you just..." help pages sound good, it sounds like a good format to me. I will also be happy to help write the pages listed.--

Help me contact Bluehighwind
I just want to throw this out there. Bluehighwind has been a godsend for me with the FF walk-throughs the humoristic sarcasm is a relief from the mindless droning of most walk-throughs. I really just wanted to send my sincerest thanks for helping me finally achieve my dream of beating FFVI, FFVII, and FFVIII, before getting bored of the mindless nonsensical bullshit that square puts into their guide books. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR MAKING FINAL FANTASY ENJOYABLE AGAIN! LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING FFVII REMAKE WALKTHROUGH NEXT YEAR!!!! ERMAHGERD NERDGASM!
