Weapon Glosses (武器スキン, Buki Sukin?) are an accessory feature in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. As a subset of the Costume feature, it allows players to complement their characters with the appearance of any weapon previously available to them, or to apply unique appearance modifications to their weapons of choice.

Mechanics

Managed under the Appearance submenu of a character's setup menu, players may select any available weapon from the Weapon Gloss menu. Initially, the player will have access to all rarity rank 1, 2, and 3 weapons that the character can equip. As the player learns to limit-break and level up their preferred weapons of higher ranks, characters will not only receive the passive ability from the weapon, but also a new skin for it. Thus, it is possible for a character who wields Greatswods to wield an EX weapon and project it as an Axe. The reskinned weapon retains all of its stats and special properties when equipped.

In addition to weapons mastery, some weapons classes are eligible for new skins purchased as part of loot crates from the in-game Gem Shop. The price of each skin is about US$12 before taxes and other fees are added.
