I'm such a FF fan like everyone here, so much so I decided to get my own account!
I've finished all numbered Final Fantasys (other than XI and XIV), and am finishing up Mystic Quest (eat your heart out, Drake Clawfang ;D)

My Dream Final Fantasy
- Gameplay would be very similar to Crystal Chronicles (as in real time battle), but there would obviously be different races (possibly a mix from CC, XI, and Ivalice?) and selectable jobs.
- It would essentially be an MMORPG, like FF XI, but everything is streamlined, easier for beginners/casuals, and a minimum monthly payment plan.
- The setting is going to be a throwback to the classic Final Fantasy's (I-V especially) straying mostly away from steampunk/technological settings to castles, dungeons, caves, etc.
- A character can be wholly customizable; from hair, skin, eye color, etc. to clothing and armor and possibly even weaponry.
- Storyline-wise, I'm thinking it would be in the world of Final Fantasy I after the time loop is broken.
Monk > anything else (a work in progress)
Reasons Facts
1) Fighters and similar need heavy (not to mention expensive) armor. Monks do not need such things and have one of the highest natural HP curves to compensate.
2) Fighters attack with swords, which are expensive and need updating. Black Mages use nuking, which depletes valuable MP. Monks beat the **** out of anything with their BARE. ****ING. HANDS. Because of this, the natural barehanded technique can sometimes ignore the target's defense.
3) Mages need MP to keep up with healing/attacking. Natural monk abilities like Chakra (which heals the user or entire party and cures status ailments) and Kick (which attacks all targets at once) need no MP and can be used repeatedly.
4) The FF creators are scared of anything without a sword or magic for their raw potential as a main character. The best a Monk was 2nd banana, and even then she is only popular because of those gigantic cans (admit it).
5) Monks are parallel with an entire video game genre of fighting games. Infact, if you are good enough with fighting game moves, you're going to kick ass with Sabin's Blitz and Zell's Limit Breaks.
6) Who else can run around a PLANET IN SECONDS?! Or suplex an ENTIRE TRAIN?! Able to leap skyscrapers in a single bound?! Think of where Superman (THE most overpowered superhero of all time) got his inspiration.
Underused Final Fantasy Concepts that Squeenix needs to evaluate
Omega Weapon
- To be specific, I'm talking about the Omega superboss that was completely mechanical in nature, as shown in Final Fantasy V, XI, and XII. Twelve did an excellent job telling of it's possible origin and how it has appeared in many games.
- With the addition of Dissida, we know that the Interdimensional Rift, Cid, and Garland from FF1 have all had a hand with the events leading up to creating the different dimensions. But where does this leave Omega, a somewhat-oddly placed machine (more advanced and powerful than any enemy known yet) in the Rift?
- Who was it's creator? What was it's intention? The largest role Omega has had in a Final Fantasy is Dirge of Cerberus, and even then it had (an albeit misplaced) good intentions.
The Void
- Strange, another concept coming from Final Fantasy V. Coincidence? ...yeah, probably. Also, another aspect that was expanded with Dissidia, being the method Garland traveled through time. Why mention an outdated concept from one game as a side note on something that should've just been explained as ancient unnamed magic? Perplexing.
- Cloud of Darkness is the vague embodiment of the Void. Although the boss herself wasn't looked into, the Void could be the place where she resided and where the FFIII Light Warriors had their final battle.
- What can be more evil than turning the universe into nothingness? The Void should, in my opinion, be a main focus in the (inevitable) Dissidia sequel.
World-balancing Crystals
- Okay, by now I look like a nostalgia nut, but that's sort of the point of this section: for Square to bring back some great things from early Final Fantasy to make newer ones even better.
- Final Fantasy's 1-5 (excluding 2) all had the basic 4 elemental crystals concept. This was sacrificed for a larger back story for characters and plot without clutter for the last 7. Well, by now some writers have thought of some stories that can include both an intriguing plot and the elemental crystals without wasting disk space or the like.
- They're on the right track with Dissidia (again) but that was just a side game to get all the characters from the games together. Anything further could be expanded greatly, whether it be another spin-off, or (more hopefully) another numbered game.

- I have a job as a warehouse worker.
- I've never played a Final Fantasy until late-2008, besides FFVI (III on SNES) as a kid and Crystal Chronicles.
- The concept of "wuv" confuses and infuriates me to no end, but it's worth it in the end. :)
