Stand Ground (ふんばる, Funbaru?), also known as Last Stand, is a recurring support ability in Final Fantasy series. It involves surviving attacks with 1 HP remaining.

Last Stand is a Paladin ability. When used, it adds an effect that has a 20% chance to wear off each turn, but allows the character to survive fatal HP damage with 1 HP remaining. It does not prevent Instant Death or petrification.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

Last Stand is an ability learned by Galuf at level 60 (4★), Dark Knight Cecil at level 3 (5★), Jake at level 11 (5★), Delita at level 18 (5★), Bartz at level 61 (5★), and Xiao at level 77 (5★), as well as Carbuncle (2★) and Golem (2★). It is also usable while Eight is equipped with the Lightspeed Jab materia. It increases DEF/SPR by 180% when HP drops below 50%.

Last Stand is a passive ability learned by Lann & Reynn at level 23 (5★). It grants a 20% chance to ignore fatal damage once with 1% HP left when HP is above 50%.

In Bravely Default, Stand Ground is a Freelancer level 13 support ability. It has a 75% chance to survive with 1 HP when suffering damage that would result in K.O. This will not happen if HP is already at 1. It costs 3 slots to equip.

In Bravely Second: End Layer, Stand Ground is the level 5 support ability for the Freelancer level 5 support ability. It allows the user to have a 75% chance to survive with 1 HP when suffering damage that would result in K.O. Effect will not trigger when HP is already at 1. It cost three slots.
