Free Time Events in Final Fantasy Type-0 are interactions in Akademeia that can be done to pass the downtime in between missions. All events cost 2 hours of free time.
In new game plus playthrough, the player can redo the events that have been done in previous playthrough without losing any free time.
Overview
Events are marked with a glowing exclamation point above a character's head, which will trigger either a conversation or a cutscene, then give an item as a reward. Cutscenes are archived in the Annals of Orience section in the Rubicus.
From the second playthrough onwards, completed events are identified with a green check mark and can be viewed again without losing free time. This becomes useful for free time periods that do not allow all Events to be completed.

Chapter 8
Note: Events in this chapter will be available after a conversation with Celestia at the entrance (except for Sice's event that will be available after the main scenario event in Classroom Zero), and do not consume hours.
In the PSP version, Ryid, Mutsuki, Carla, and Quon's cutscenes are missable if they have joined Class Zero, as progress on their individual sidequests carry over into subsequent playthroughs. In the HD version, the player will still be able to see the scenes even if they recruited these characters to Class Zero.
