Final Fantasy VI description
Card (カード, Kādo?), also known as Cards, Deck of Cards, and Playing Cards, is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is generally the weakest weapon of its type, being initially equipped on characters that uses the card category of weapons, typically the Gambler archetypes. In Final Fantasy VI, the cards weapon is a deck of typical real world playing cards, whereas in the Type series, Ace's cards appear to depict Eidolons and the back is a stylized Etro's gate.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Kōshiki Settei Shiryōshū Aku no Hishi art book contains some unused designs for playing cards, presumed to be for Ace's weapon. Based on the opening movie, and the cards included with the Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy Type-0, it seems that the underside of Ace's cards does not depict the standard poker cards' faces, but rather the pictures of various Eidolons. In the Final Fantasy Type-0 demo, the underside of the card Ace holds is blank. It is unknown if this was intentional or a graphical error.
