Kain DS render png

I saw your request for Kain DS's render in transparent png format on Drake's page, and thought I might be able to help. How's this? Espritduo (talk) 03:14, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Okaaay....how bout this? Kain CG Render. That one was a bit more of a pain... Espritduo (talk) 04:50, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Licensing
Please make sure you're adding the appropriate game name to your screenshot licensing. I've done it for you, but in future you need to do {{Screenshot|FF name here}}, k? ^_^ Tia-Lewise

- Ah yeah, I'd forgotten there was another way to categorise screenshots :P well done though, you've got the hang of it. Tia-Lewise

FFIV
I'm curious, what are you using to get the screenshots for FFIVDS? I'm looking at yours and the ones that I had (and you uploaded over, which isn't a bad thing seeing as yours are better quality than mine), and I'm realizing how small mine are. Unless you're using Desmume (which I'm thinking you're not since Desmume takes screenshots at the same resolution regardless of how big screens are), then I've no idea what you could be using at all o.O
Ahhhh. I see. That would explain a lot (yeah, you'll find all of my DS screenshots to be the same size, even though I have the screen for the emulator taking up the entire height of my screen). Hopefully you can even get better screenshots of what I missed (I'll be going through the game later again as part of a LP at some point maybe, and I know there's a few things here and there I missed). And if we could get better models or whatnot for the enemies, that'd be fantastic too, though dunno how hard that'll be to do...
| |||
Ah...thinking on it now, maybe it is best that we keep the iOS images separate from the DS images? Like how you handled Flamethrower for instance? They are different versions so...actually, I don't know what the others' stances are on that. May want to look into that.

Advice
Regarding what Esprit has said about painting out bits of the Mist Dragon and such...you know, MS Paint is a rather impractical way of removing backgrounds. Have you considered using GIMP instead? Tia-Lewise

Infobox image widths
They should be set to 250px wide or less. 92.24.164.72 15:15, May 7, 2013 (UTC)

Howdy
Just wanted to say nice job on all the FFIV stuff. And I like your walkthroughs. I certainly don't mind reading about Cecil and Kain "plundering the castle" :3 (I'm pretty sure you and I are the only regular editors that are into that sort of thing). Oh, and feel free to leave me a message if you have questions or just want to chat. --Shockstorm (talk) 06:29, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, you know...sex :p (I was referring to here, in the paragraph that ends with "CENSORED") --Shockstorm (talk) 07:00, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not really a shipper, but I like some FF men. And I'm a guy. --Shockstorm (talk) 07:06, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
- Is there a problem with that? I'm a bit confused. --Shockstorm (talk) 17:24, May 13, 2013 (UTC)

Dancing Girl FFIV iOS
Would it be possible for you to get an image of the Dancing Girl for its article? The one on the wiki currently could use a better image. Fenrir9 (talk) 18:32, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
You were making a big fuss about it, so it was hard not to notice. --Shockstorm (talk) 05:46, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
- You're in no position to hurl around insults. I tried to be friendly and helpful towards you, but instead you've been needlessly hostile each time. Anyways, I'm done talking to you. Screw off. --Shockstorm (talk) 05:53, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
FFIV iOS Status Icons
Think you can grab them from the iOS port? Probably be better to replace the DS ones with those, if possible.
Image of the character under the status would be nice yes. If you can get those, that'd be great, especially since we also need the icons that goes along with them (for instance, the Poison icon you see in the status bar, underneath a character's name).
If you don't understand what Xenomic is asking for, its for this List of Final Fantasy IV 3D Statuses. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:13, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
I'd suggest asking one of the others if another page is necessary for the status images.
Fenrir is probably the prime one to talk to on that front. You can also ask JBed or Drake or any of the mods for their inputs as well on the matter. I'm generally not around THAT much, so it's easier to talk to them than me for the most part on issues such as this.
- Holy crap, the FFIV iOS icons are totally different from the DS ones. I hope you can get them all. Add: Oh, there is another set of icons too, the eight elements. This should be quite easy to get. These were found on the weapon and spells description during battle/item menu in the DS if I remember correctly. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:25, May 20, 2013 (UTC)
Uploads
As always divine, great job (and I typed your name out just how you like it, aren't I considerate ^_^). Just make sure you're actually placing the images in articles; I've noticed not all of your image uploads have been put into articles, and unfortunately if an image hasn't been placed anywhere it tends to get deleted. If you're planning to use them for location articles, why don't you stick them in your userspace for now, maybe in a collapsible table, so they're marked as being in use by you and they won't be deleted. Thanks again! Tia-Lewise
12:38, May 22, 2013 (UTC)
- Just so you know, Tia, all the screenshots of enemies for the bestiary are okay hanging for the moment. I'll link them all to the articles, eventually. I've been waiting on linking all of them because I think what I'm going to do is update the DS images altogether with the iOS ones, like we did with some of the FFIII DS enemies. Then I'll simply delete the iOS enemy images category I created once all DS enemy images have been replaced in their category. I'm still debating whether this is the best course of action, though, so right now there's a bunch of iOS enemy png's floating around in limbo. Espritduo (talk) 13:05, May 22, 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for letting me know. Oh, divine, just remember if you've left a location section unfinished, stamp the top of the article with {{Expand|completing the Locations section}} so it doesn't look too messy and people know there's a work in progress. See all the locations I've been doing for FFXII- for example this one. Tia-Lewise

Status Icons
Thanks for the icons, still missing quite a few icons, so here's a list of what the wiki is missing: Stone, Mini, Pig, Curse, Petrify, Magnetize, Stop, Doom, Blink, Protect, Bubble, Bravery, Faith, Darkness, Bluff, and Cry. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:52, May 23, 2013 (UTC)
Stuff
Hey. First off, my name is Coolawits. I had some stuff I wanted to bring up. It starts off with your signature. It's a bit too... well... too much. As you will see shortly when I sign, I am like the last person who should be telling you this. But the black glow on the Kanaji (I'm presuming that is the kana for Tohoshinki (or TVXQ as you seem to prefer... Tohoshinki is just how they are known in Japan)) actually makes it hard to recognize the characters. I had to look hard to be able tell what it was. Then, while looking on your userpage, some things intrigued me:
- Yay, you're part of the Yuna Fanclub, of which I am the Mod.
- I find it weird that you ship both Zaerith and Zenesis. I've never really thought of Zack as a character people shipped as both straight and gay. Cloud yes... (Cloud x Tifa or Aerith as well as Cloud x Zack or Sephy) but Zack I've thought is shipped a lot more with Cloud. Personally, once I ship a character as one sexuality, I hardly ever then ship them as bi.
- Despite saying you ship more Yaoi pairings than straight pairings, you've actually got more straight pairings than you have guy/guy.
- Also... who are those characters in the TAY cover? Is that Ceodore and Golbez? If it is, isn't that technically incest?
Aside from that, just fancied saying hi. Now, behold my hypocrisy: COOLAWITS ~TALK | YFC | XVI | DQFF~ 11:21, May 29, 2013 (UTC)
EDIT (12:32, May 29, 2013 (UTC)): Aww. What an honour to have the title of "longest no-wiki-work-related message". I'm touched too. I'd love to chat more, so here we go:
- Lie or tell the truth... honesty or dishonesty... im probably an idiot but ill pick the more the saint-like option. I'll just come out and say it. I'm really sorry but I have no idea what you're talking about :( "Cassie" - is that to do with music? Or like... an anime? Oh right! Based on a google search, its a fan club! Well... there is the second truth. I'm not really that into TVXQ. I'm not really into any K-Pop groups really. I'm a huge JPop person and don't really like my KPop invading my Jpop. To be brutally honest, the only reason i know of Tohoshinki/DBSK/TVXQ is through their collab with one of my fave artists of all time - Koda Kumi. I did see a youtube video of them live, performing with her, and thought they looked handsome and cool - what a lot of boy bands lack. Plus they could actually sing and have decent vocal range - which as an aspiring singer who is a guy that sings in an uber high voice - I respect. Not to mention, for KPop bands, an ability to actually sing rather than just look pretty and dance is rare. Really rare. So yeah... Do you like Jpop? My queen is Namie Amuro (the queen of me, the world and the universe. BOW DOWN!!) but I am love with Koda Kumi too. As you probably don't listen to Jpop, for Kpop the people I even know about are PSY (obviously), Hyuna (obviously), SNSD/Girls Generation (for both their looks and they do have some catchy tunes (Gee, Paparazzi)), Kara, BoA and TVXQ. Aspiring friendship with you... likely currently lying in tatters.
- Oh ok... GolKai. That freaks me out a lot less. A HELL OF A LOT less. Bro/Bro i guess i'm not 100% comfortable with, but I kinda understand as atleast they are the same age. Twin/Twin is the the one I am likely to believe the most, just because if they do most things together and most twins share a room, then... Male Cousin/Male Cousin i guess I'm also OK... again due to really the age thing as a huge age difference just sorta freaks me out. I don't know what "Sadistic Boy" is, as I don't really tend to read a lot of yaoi manga. Sounds interesting though - a bro/bro yaoi pairing, I'm guessing with some S&M... In terms of actually reading stuff like yaoi parings, I do occasionally read yaoi fanfics - plenty of which are smutty. Interestingly, once while searching, one google search lead to another and I ended up on this interesting yaoi hentai video thing. The weird thing was, it was probably the most sincere one I've ever watched. Like... I genuinely felt for the characters in it. It was as if they actually loved each other, rather than just were having sex for no real reason, which is what most hentai normally is - girl meets guy. She smiles at him. Next thing you know, they are all over each other.
- Yeah... deffo don't add the one with Cecil as a baby. You'll scare off most people with that (and maybe even someone will call the security services: CIA, MI5, KGB (whatever country you live in)). I did find these images: 1 and 2 but I don't really think they'd work to show a pairing. Fanart? The FFIV threesome I could kinda buy but I'm not 100% comfortable with the GolCecil ship, like I said above.
- Strange, given that Cloud/Sephy is arguably one of the most popular yaoi ships there is. But tbh, even I don't think I can buy Clephy. They hate each other way too much. Not to mention... i've heard there is a rumour going round that Sephy doesn't actually have a... erm... "weapon" to use. Can't remember where I heard that.
- It's possible you ship Zack as bi because your bi, but more likely as he may be bi. I suppose now that I reflect on Crisis Core, I could see Zack as getting close to certain people - both guys and gals. I personally don't feel any believable chemistry between him and Genesis, but him and Cloud I probably could believe.
- "in a unique way"... hmmm.... *raise eyebrows*. Lol. JK. Yeah... Yuna is a character who is quite unique within the FF series. She's not your typical FF fem lead. Not like lightning who is robust and determined (even though I love her and would die for her... probably because me loves a bad girl) but Yuna isn't a complete whimp who needs constant protecting like so many. She's in between the two in a nice way.
- I'm pretty sure it doesn't violate any policies. Just was pointing out that isn't very easy to read. If you were aiming for the "divine cross" to come across then that it certainly does. I also actually didn't realise there was meant to be anything between the "divine" and the "cross" or after the "cross" for that matter. Not until you mentioned it anyway.
Wow... that was long! Anyway. I love chatting! This is fun. I've never really talked about music or pairings with many people on this wiki (except for one IRC convo I had with Tia Lewise about her yaoi fanfics) so it's nice openning up and talking with you :) Bye!
--Cools xx (this may be rushing things... but this is how I sign off to friends).
Screenshot licensing
Just so you know, when you're uploading screenshots, instead of just using {{Screenshot}}, you want to type it in like this {{Screenshot|Final Fantasy IV iOS}}, and not add [[Category:Final Fantasy IV iOS Screenshots]]. Otherwise, the image gets thrown into both the general Screenshot category (which we don't want) and the FFIV iOS Screenshot category as well. Espritduo (talk) 09:30, June 5, 2013 (UTC)
IOS Battlebg
Yes, it's a screenshot, and it's simple to obtain. You have to fight two battles: in the first one you have to defeat all enemies and make a screen before the transition to the victory poses, in the second one you have to flee the battle and make another screen. Then you have to merge the two screenshots with GIMP and voila. Sadly i don't own an Iphone so I can't make any other screenshots, but it seems you can do it just fine :)
By the way, may I ask you a favor? I need some screenshots of generic NPCs, like the dragoon I posted in the Dragoon job page (better if they are on the center of the picture, so enter the menu when next to them). You could do a list of them, like user JBed did for Final Fantasy VII NPCs. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 23:06, June 11, 2013 (UTC)
GIMP is a free photo editor that works exactly like photoshop. If you want I can do it instead, just upload the screens and I'll do the rest. And yes, I want even the townspeople: I like the way they are so different based on the area you go into. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 08:20, June 12, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not in a hurry, so take your time. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 09:42, June 12, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, the Dragoon I made is from an Ipod. The quality of the Ipad screens is much worse, probably because of antialiasing. Seriously, I just prefer your screens, because I can crop them easier. :) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:13, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
I prefer yours, because they are on PNG format, so, while smaller, the quality is far better. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 15:05, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Good :D Maybe with the big ones, like the fat chocobo, you can take a picture without opening the menu too. I remember I had troubles while trying to do the chocobos. Also, the airships, the flying black chocobo and the hovercraft, and also the cities: I suggest you put yourself in front of them so they are not too small nor big, like this one.
I thought it would be interesting to have more specific pictures. I often use this format on my wiki, and I took it from this site, which treats every single subject in a very encyclopedic way. I think it's like making an Ultimania Omega guide ourselves, and I say that because the FFX Ultimania Omega has the renders of every NPC in the game. :) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:03, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
All we need is just the locations like towns or village. The caves look just all the same, so they are irrelevant. One thing that could be useful is a screen of Mt.Hobs and Mt.Ordeals from an airship (obviously without the ship's shadow). As for the locations you currently uploaded, I prefer if they are done with the character in front of them (without covering them), rather than next to them.
The Battlebg look fine, by the way ;) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:37, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
You can maybe try to change the lines of fighters, maybe let someone die, you have various options. The airship background is difficult too: in the DS version it could be shown by walking through walls and going far away from the tiles of the dungeon. But in the initial battle, you can switch the lines and get at least three screenshots. :/ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 13:15, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
I was thinking: if the NPC pictures are not wanted here, you can still upload them in my wiki, the Italian one. You can go there by some interwiki pages. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 13:43, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
Not what I meant: you can switch the lines during the battle (preferably those against bosses), or let a character die before you take the screen, and then resurrect him. As for the airship, I meant using a cheat device to walk past the tilesets of dungeons and trigger a battle that uses the airship background because it's the #00 background for dungeons. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 14:06, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
It's difficult to explain, just try to do as I said. As for the cheating device, it only exists on the DS version, so you can only use the first battle and switching rows with Cecil to see all the parts of the bg. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 14:25, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
If you start the game, not, that's what I said. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 14:31, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
Exactly ^^ and also at the inn in Kaipo, and the night battle against the sahagin. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 15:45, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
It's not really a problem, you just do the same as the airship background: switch rows, make two screens, defeat enemy, make a third. It's easier to do than to say, actually. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 16:15, June 14, 2013 (UTC)
The same way you did for the airship: just switch the rows and then defeat the enemy. The easiest way is against Golbez, Calcabrina, Dark dragon, or Kain, if you wait for him to jump. As for the Zeromus background, I noticed that will be very difficult to do, especially since it moves. I don't know how to help on that. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:02, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
The Kaipo one is taken from the Iphone version. As for the towns with trees, they are technically part of them, so it's better to include them. For the crystal palace, can you take a screen with it in the center of the picture? I think you can pass behind it with the Lunar Whale no problem. As for the final battla bg, just take a shot when Zeromus is defeated, just to see if it works. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 16:08, July 5, 2013 (UTC)
Nope, no idea. As for Mythril, just take the two small trees right next to the town and that's it. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 17:45, July 5, 2013 (UTC)
I'll be taking care of the merging of the Giant of Babil images (easy as pie by merging in Paint, though it's gonna look weird to see half of the image with lights on and the other without...). The Lunar Surface images need updated though, as both of the ones you have uploaded are on the party's side. If you can get that, that'd be great.
Signature
I'm pretty sure you've been rapped on the knuckles about this at least once in the past. I can see Coolawits did so above and, while you at least didn't simply outright ignore that it was brought up, you also didn't do anything about it, either.
Your sig is, frankly, in violation of the wiki's policy. It's pretty distracting and unpleasant to look at, though aesthetics aren't, strictly speaking, a policy issue. However, what is a policy issue is that it also has about as much (if not more) unnecessary extra random crap as it does functional text, and even worse, it doesn't actually contain your username or any reasonable variation on it (backwards isn't adequate). Please do something to remedy these issues ASAP -- Sorceror Nobody 18:46, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm also gonna point out that people like me, who lack the proper symbol encoding on their systems, can't actually read the symbols in your sig and it comes up as a load of squares. So in that sense there's a degree of violation as well. Tia-Lewise
19:02, July 9, 2013 (UTC)
- I'm also going to point out: Not the signature policy. "Divinecross" is fine, backwards is adequate since it's what you are known as. 2.102.229.104
- Well, my sig is really bound to violate sig policies when it's written on colored background. Normally the "extra random crap" wouldn't show up on a white background, and that's how I wanted it to be. =P And SN, as for being unpleasant to look at, it's not really my problem and I can't do anything about that. ......Would this do for now? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 09:23, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, uh... you are perfectly capable of doing something about it. Your sig is under your control, not the DARK POWER OF THE ELDER HORRORTERRORS or anything. But yes, in any case, it's much better now, and the black is actually quite a lot less obtrusive now there's simply a smaller area covered by it. Thank you -- Sorceror Nobody

- I meant that if you find it unaesthetically pleasing to look at and I, on the other hand, think that it's not that much of an eyesore, then that's what I have no control of. Oh..and about calling those eight letters "extra random crap"...I won't say that you didn't hit a berserk button there, but of course, since you don't really give a flying batshit about what they mean, I'll care less too. ^_^ A good day to you, SN. If there are any more problems about me or my sig in the future, just complain here and I'll be glad to do something about it. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 16:11, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I knew they probably did mean something. It's just that, while not actually explicitly detailed in the policy, it was much discussed when forming the policy that ideally there shouldn't be an excess of extra text that doesn't serve a purpose in the sig. And as I say, if nothing else, the reduction in the area covered by the black, due to removal of that text, has made it considerably less obtrusive. So it's fine now. And, mostly, just thanks for complying without any fuss -- Sorceror Nobody

- Again, the "extra random crap" was supposed to be invisible. I bet no one really noticed the "extra random crap" hidden text unless they highlighted it, or until I signed my votes in the forums (or MMIII, which had colored bgs). But then, to be honest, I haven't read the sig policy that thoroughly yet. Well, I guess that concludes everything. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 18:01, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
More
Good. I don't have the Giant of Babil bg, though. As for the "Spoony Bard" one, isn't it the same as the other castle bgs? And did you manage to get the "Night in Kaipo" one? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 12:32, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
Well, aside from being zoomed, it has no differences from the regular castle bg, so it's not so important. The final battle one looks pretty cool, it will be easier to edit, now :) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 12:49, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
I don't have Agart yet. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 12:59, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

Please see here, I'm fairly confused and you're more likely to know what you're identifying and if another article is needed. Tia-Lewise

FFIV World Map
Could you upload a version of the world maps without any other sprites on it? Using GIMP like with the battlbg? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 21:35, October 7, 2013 (UTC)
You don't need a second slot: just move every vehicle somewhere else, then take another picture, then merge the two and it's done. Don't complicate your life more than necessary ^^ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 00:21, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
You just upload the other images in the wiki. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 17:39, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
They are really good, eccept for one ot two: the soldier, the monk and the ninja can be done better, perhaps in another location. You can also do Giott and Luca in the Mysidian tower, where Giott is standing up. Try your best to make the render as less tilted as possible, like the old man in Kaipo. That one is very difficult -_-
Be prepared to do this when The After Years comes out as well XD --Pmbarbieri (talk) 09:33, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, and if possible, make them all look "at the camera" --Pmbarbieri (talk) 09:45, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
So, are we expecting FFVI screenshots instead? C:
Anyway, there are also the girl soldiers, guards and chancelor in Troia, the mages in Mysydia, Bahamut's guards, some mini and frog people. Also, is there a cutscene where we can see full figure of the king of Fabul? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 10:29, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
I was kidding, no problem. The problem is that Square should not focus only on the mobile portings, because not everyone has a smartphone yet (I still want to just use my phone as a friggin' phone ^^). If The After Years comes out in Italian, however, I'm afraid I'll have to buy one -_- --Pmbarbieri (talk) 10:57, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
At least the tail collector. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 16:07, October 11, 2013 (UTC)
RE: Lunar Surface
Oops! My bad...I thought I did. x_x;;
| |||
Oh, it's a boss bg. Didn't realize that for some reason. That may be tricky to do then...I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to pull that off lol.
| |||
Not sure where we got the renders from to be honest. I was never involved with FFIV DS until much later on I believe.
Question
Have you ever played TAY yet at all? I'm quite curious if you have, as getting more data on enemies would be quite...helpful, to say the least. There's a lot of them and I don't know if I wanna go through the game again just for ones that I may be missing. ^^;;

RE:FFIV Augments
In general, rule of thumb I take is this: If the screenshot in question looks a lot better than the current screenshot, then upload it. If whatever screenshot you take doesn't seem to look nearly as good as what's currently here, then don't upload it. That's what I think anyways. I've uploaded several images only to put them up for immediate deletion due to images here being better than what I could get so...there ya have it.
I hear the iOS version has a way to change difficulties. Perhaps you can get an image of this for the wiki's difficulty level page? I don't know if we have all of the images for the iOS's menus either, so there's something else to look into (probably need to check Menu (Final Fantasy IV) for that).
That's fine. That's all we need is an image of that (something I wish I COULD get for the PSX versions...actually, I probably can. Same with Crisis Core and EoT. Hurr...laziness though! >_>;;
| |||
Alright, dropped him a little check-in message. Really hoping to get all the images we can from that game, seeing as there's hardly anyone else to do it other than him. He did suggest YT vids but the quality of said videos are generally poor or have watermarks or other miscellaneous problems...
| |||
PPSSPP is what I used for the PSP screenshots in general. The Crisis Core screenshots were long before the emulator upgraded as much as it did, but they'll still suffice methinks.
If you're still around- can you help?
Do you still have any screenshots from when you were doing the FFIV Locations sections? Mysidia is up for next month's Featured Article but its section is incomplete. If I could bring it up to scratch, and any other locations that are lacking in images, I'd feel a bit better. If you still have anything, it'd be greatly appreciated :) Tia-Lewise

Guardian Cross
Hi. I have already uploaded every FF card that is in the game. The other cards are original ones so I didn't include them since it is not a Final Fantasy game. The original cards may be taken from mythology not from the other FF games. The FF cards were released during special events. --Chrono Cross (talk) 16:17, July 21, 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know if they should be added here, as this project's scope is Final Fantasy, and Guardian Cross is not a FF title but has some cards from FF. I was only concerned about those. You can see for example, Gilgamesh has an original card [1] which does not resemble any of his FF occurrences. But there is also a card that is for his FFV's appearance [2] which is the one I added here due to its relevancy. I saw you mentioned about Deadman's Cross, it doesn't have any FF cards. That Cerberus is actually from Resident Evil series [3]. --Chrono Cross (talk) 09:24, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
RE: Deadman's Cross
Never heard of it. If it has FF stuff in it, might not hurt I suppose. Show me some images.
I'd probably ask JBed, Drake, or one of them their opinions on the matter as well. It may be made by Square, but doesn't mean it can go here if there's not enough material to put here methinks. As for the FFIV 3D statuses, probably referring to how the statuses work mechanically (as in, how much damage Poison does, how long statuses last, what inflicts them, etc). Basically, what you see on the other List of Statuses pages.
FF4 Portraits
The new images you uploaded are from the mobile release, the old images are DS. Please upload your files as new ones and do not replace the old, they are different. Thank you. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:41, August 26, 2014 (UTC)
RE: FFIV 3D
As far as I'm aware, it means that they're immune to it. You can try checking every boss yourself if you want, but have fun with that! I'm pretty sure that none of them are able to be hit with Stop though.
I could not tell you anything about the codes for IVDS as I haven't touched that game in ages (and really don't want to have to. I hated that version of the game with a passion ha...so much so that I refuse to do a Let's Play for it). >_>;;
No, I hate it for its inane difficulty it has. I don't mind a difficulty bump for the game, the original was far, far too easy bar a couple bosses. But the way they handled it in DS was just too much. Some areas were almost unbearable (Tower of Zot was the worst thing ever...and let's not talk about the Moon), and had I not grinded to level 80 I wouldn't have even beaten the game. And even THEN I barely beat the game! It's just...too much to throw at the player.
Funny thing is in other games like FFT or KHBBS I don't mind grinding like...at all. For some reason it's really satisfying, especially in FFT/FFTA/FFTA2. But not in FFIV, because it takes forever to level up sometimes, and even then it never really feels like it helps. But yeah, IIRC if you died in FFIVDS, you restarted at last time you saved like usual. I didn't even know the iOS version did that, you're lucky you didn't have to put up with what I had to. >_>; Lunar Subterrane isn't bad normally. Just the enemies are terrible. 2-4k damage should NOT be happening to a party that barely even has 2k on the Paladin... Crisis Core wasn't THAT bad. I never had too much problem with battles ending really, just that there were A LOT of battles, and that made doing all 300 missions a chore and a half. Gonna regret playing that game for a LP whenever I get around to it...
