I have done work mostly on XI. I've been a member of the wiki since 2007, and at the time, I was the only user with any real interest in that installment. Thankfully, people have come along who are also interested in the game, and have greatly built upon the fledgling foundation I built way back when. Having been here for a long time, you can also credit or fault me for some of our high level policies, naming conventions and series ordering, etc. Final Fantasy VII was the first Final Fantasy that I really got into. In college I played some of the others because I felt like getting more familiar with the series, but for the most part I have a problem with completing them. I have my favorites in the series, and I believe there is nothing that precludes me from being a fan of the series and being willing to point out where its flaws are.
I have a job, which is not particularly interesting to most so I won't go into it, and do some illustration on the side. Above is one of my works. Recently, most of my work has been either directly or vaguely inspired by imagery or character design relating to Final Fantasy. My formal education is in studio art. |

What drives me to the Final Fantasy series is probably the job system. The games that have well defined jobs or characters that strongly embody a particular job are more likely to appeal to me. Its probably rather odd, then that Final Fantasy VII remains my favorite. This is mostly because of plot, in that it had one, and the writers did a good job motivating players to really... really hate Sephiroth. Tactics was my first in depth experience with jobs and I've loved them ever since. I'm one of those people who have been holding their breath for years waiting for a sequel to Tactics, but Final Fantasy XI does an excellent job in terms of fleshing out the job abilities and clearly defining the roll and strengths of each job, particularly Dark Knight.

PS: I hate VIII even more than I dislike VI, mostly because of annoying characters. VII, IX, and FFT are probably my favorite of the titles, outside of FFXI, which even I don't think should have gotten a sequential number.
