The wind stops, the sea is wild, and the earth begings to rot.
The people wait, their only hope, a prophecy....
'When the world is in darkness
Four Warriors will come....'
After a long journey, four young warriors arrive, each holding an ORB.
With these words and to the sound of the Prelude, I'm glad to present you the only first Final Fantasy I NES Walkthrough you'll be seeing in a while. I'm JC Holy Knight, your guide from now on; this is my first time as a walkthrough writer, so hope you'll enjoy it.
Back to the beginning

So, most of you should be asking: "Of all the games in the world, why are you playing Final Fantasy I? And the NES one? Go on, while that I'll be playing my shining Lightning Returns and HD remaster of FFX (not X-2, though), and wait for the FFVII remake, that will be the greatest thing ever."
Well, I have pretty obvious shocking news for you: Although Lightning, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Terra and so many other FF characters are amazing, NONE of them could ever been created if it wasn't for this game.
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Are you saying that all my beloved games, characters and gameplay came out from...THIS?!". Yup, you got my point across.
Are you ready for our time adventures?
Now we are coming back to the birthplace of all things, all the elements that pushed the series for so many years...
...Or not really. A lot of the elements we know weren't created here, like Moogles, Summons and Superbosses (although in the latter one...oh, never mind).
But enough talking, as I'm not some old historian that will ramble about everything that happened in the entire series. Let's get down to business, and break chaos (hope you don't mind spoilers...) apart.
Requirements
- First of all, you must be an alive human. Ghosts, zombies and the like aren't advised to play this game because in it humans RULE and beat any other kind of things up, so I suggest these beings to move on somewhere else, avoiding unpleasant scenes - this warning goes especially to the evil ones.
- Enough sanity and ability to get through the game's mechanics.
- A complete PC, laptop or anything of the like that can use the below requirements. Unlike nowadays games, it doesn't have to be new, though.
- An NES emulator. I'm only advocating this one because I really don't expect you to have a real NES console (and I praise you if you have one that is working until now).
- An NES Final Fantasy I file (I double praise you if you have a original Final Fantasy cartrigde, and will praise you forever if you have both the console and the cartrigde).
Obs.: I don't know anything at all about backwards compability on any console, so I can't tell anyone if NES games can be played on another later console. If you have information on the issue, drop me a line and I'll gladly put it here (you all should know we pay well the informers).
This is it. This...is your story. It all begins here
