Migration background

Among the things the migration broke is this template. No longer has the pop-up, forcing you click and go to the bottom of the page to see the note, but when you do so the note is highlighted with a white background. Given that we are currently using white text, the notes are illegible, so this template has been made completely useless in its current state. Adonzo (talk) 20:41, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Not seeing any white background on the notes I'm looking at...--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC22:53, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Strange. https://ibb.co/zb3L7Zp This is what I'm getting. Can highlight the text with mouse for blue background, only way for me to read it. Tested on multiple browsers, getting the same on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Do not know what would be causing it. Adonzo (talk) 23:40, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
That's really odd... https://pasteboard.co/JjXPXwT.png is how it looks for me. I'm on macOS, if that makes a difference. Either way, sounds like something we to Special:Contact and file as a bug report. We obviously expect that as early adopters we'll get the brunt of the bugs, but it also hopefully means they can be addressed more quickly than if we migrated with everyone else.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC23:55, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Can confirm that Android Chrome looks like Adonzo's pic, don't have access to any other browser to test right now. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 00:12, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
The background on a clicked note has been disabled. That should make this usable again, until we figure out a way to turn the pop-up back on. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 11:33, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
The fix will for the time being be waiting until we can enable ReferencePopups (or until it just gets enabled for the whole platform). Though there's probably a way to enable them now with JS, if a native MediaWiki feature exists down the line, I'd rather not accidentally override that.-- Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 11:46, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
