finalfantasy

Template:Ruby is used to ease the embedding of text with ruby characters in articles. This is especially useful for embedding kanji with kana readings.

Usage

Accepts template arguments two at a time, for up to 20 arguments. For every two arguments, the first argument is a character (or sequence of characters), and the second argument is for the smaller ruby characters accompanying that character. Leaving each second argument as a zero-length string will omit ruby characters.

For example:

{{ruby|飛|ひ|竜|りゅう|の||谷|たに}}

This embeds:

()(りゅう)(たに)

If your browser does not support ruby characters, you'll instead see this, which should still be readable:

飛(ひ)竜(りゅう)の谷(たに)
This example is the Japanese name for the Drakenvale in Final Fantasy V.
