Targeting Beacon is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII. There are two versions: one deployed into battle by PSICOM Tracker to assist Uhlan in the Vile Peaks, the other deployed by Sanctum Seraph to assist Bulwarker in Eden. This is a missable Enemy Intel entry if the player does not destroy it or use Libra.

Targeting Beacon does not appear in the field at the start of the battle and is deployed near a party member by either PSICOM Tracker or Sanctum Seraph using Flag Strike Point. It does nothing on its own and only serves as a target for Uhlan's Guided Missiles or Bulwarker's Orbital Battery. Both attacks damage the beacon and deal multiple hits around it.
If Targeting Beacon is deployed near a ranged party member like Hope, it should be destroyed to avoid taking damage. Melee party members like Lightning naturally move around while attacking, leading to wasted attacks around a lonely beacon.
