The Swampmonk is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII-2. It appears during rainy weather with others of its kind or with a Mewmao in the Clearwater Marshes area of the Archylte Steppe. It uses Power Spritz to gain a number of beneficial status effects, and its water attack may inflict Daze. As it is immune to Dispel, a monster with a Feeder ability may come in hand when fighting it to sap the status effects from the Swampmonk. However, this is not necessary, as they can be defeated easily enough without it.

Swampmonk is of use with Pack Mentality, as its Sahagin brethren are of good power. Critical: Shield II (infusible) is used in defensive builds, particularly in making creative use of monsters with less HP. ATB Advantage (infusible) is inferior to First Strike.
