The Rust Bird is an enemy from Final Fantasy III, fought on Dragon's Peak. As a flying enemy, it is weak to Wind. Rust Birds are extremely rare, and for a good reason: the player can steal valuable Phoenix Downs from them. They are among the more dangerous enemies in the area, since their Glare attack inflicts Confuse on party members, and they can be found paired with Fireflies, which usually attack with magic, making it more difficult to cure those afflicted by the attack. It is highly recommended to defeat Rust Birds as quickly as possible if the player is not trying to steal Phoenix Downs.
