Left Pauldron is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII. It is part of the first encounter with the boss, Barthandelus.

Left Pauldron attacks with Water which deals 91-100 damage (127-140 with Faith). After Barthandelus uses Magic Amplification, it uses Watera instead which deals 136-150 damage (191-210 with Faith) in a small area of effect. After Magic Amplification is used a second time, it uses Waterga instead which deals 200-220 damage (280-308 with Faith) in a larger area of effect and can launch. After a while, Waterga will be used at a faster pace.
Barthandelus can use Enchanted Veil to bestow Protect and Shell on it, and Mystic Aura to bestow Faith and Haste.
Left Pauldron disappears when Barthandelus falls below 60% HP.
