Greater Drake is an enemy in Final Fantasy X-2. Found on the Djose Highroad and Mt. Gagazet, as well as the Ruin Depths and floors 47-49 of the Via Infinito, the Greater Drake is a moderately powerful foe, so having decently high Defenses will help. It uses Mushussu's model from Final Fantasy X.

Greater Drake's Breath attack is Fire-elemental. In Oversoul it concentrates on sword-wielding dresspheres, dealing great damage. It can also use Cura. It is weak to Ice.

Strategy

It is recommended to bring along Fire-resistant abilities or equipment to help mitigate or nullify the damage of its Breath attack, and using a Light Curtain or Protect will help reduce the damage done from its physical attacks.

In Oversoul, it is best to avoid using the Dark Knight, Samurai, or Warrior as the Greater Drake can inflict massive damage to them with its Sword-Hater attack. Armor Break helps with reducing its Defense for physical attacks, though it is highly advised to use Ice-elemental attacks to bring this enemy down quickly.

One notable Greater Drake was created from the spirit of an orange that was part of an emergency food ration for those wandering the desert. Seeing two fiends starving, Greater Drake remembered his purpose and offered himself to be eaten so they can continue living.

Drake is another word for dragon. A dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, which is featured in the myths of many cultures.
