Expedition Intel is an activity in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and one of many types of World Intel. It allows the party to find lifesprings across that region, which reveal Region Intel providing background lore on the region, Excavation Intel locations, and the region's Classified Intel. Lifesprings also tend to have a large number of items that serve as Item Transmuter materials.

Expedition Intel simply involves finding the lifespring and interfacing with it, after which, a quick button prompt obtains the Region Intel. This makes them a simple means of earning more intel that Chadley can use to develop materia, but also a good way to reveal background lore on the region. Each region has a different colored bird that appears near lifespring locations and leads the player toward them.

Atop the first set of stairs, follow the path and walk past the next staircase to find the lifespring.
Expedition Intel 3: Dawnvale Lifespring	Activation Intel 3: Dried Oasis Tower	Region Intel: Life in Cosmo Canyon	Ride a chocobo and use the large fan in the southeast corner of the region to reach a wooden platform by Gliding Range No. 9-55. Take the right path upon landing and continue forward to the lifespring.
Expedition Intel 4: Blustercave Lifespring	Activation Intel 4: Gliding Range Tower	Excavation Intel 2: Cosmo Range Ruins	Ride a chocobo and fly around the areas beginning with Gliding Range No. 7-78 to move up to the next surface, repeated four times. The fourth surface leads to the lifespring.
Expedition Intel 5: Shrouded Ruins Lifespring	Activation Intel 5: Spiritwastes Tower	Region Intel: The Cetra and the Gi	Ride a chocobo and fly around the area using the fans near Cosmo Canyon moving from one surface to the next, until reaching an area full of trees. Enter the ruins within for the lifespring.

Look for a rock cylinder, and use it to go to the top then proceed forward to the lifespring.
Expedition Intel 4: Delta Island Lifespring	Activation Intel 4: Whitecap Reef Tower	Classified Intel: Avian Tyrant	Use the ocean chocobo and approach from the water south of Activation Intel 4: Whitecap Reef Tower, and land on the high ground. Head south to the opposite end to find a slope going down into a pool. Chocojet up into a hole to reach the lifespring.
