You shall be overwhelmed by the arrogance that disfigures you...

Ark Angel EV

Ark Angel EV is a Notorious Monster from Final Fantasy XI: Rise of the Zilart. The Crystal Warrior representing Elvaan arrogance, it can be encountered as part of Zilart Mission 14: Ark Angels. This is entirely optional, as the player needs only defeat one of the Crystal Warriors to complete the mission. Alternatively, the player can complete the quest "Divine Might", which requires them to fight all five Crystal Warriors at once, while still counting towards the mission.

Ark Angel EV can use the special job ability of both the Paladin and White Mage jobs, Invincible and Benediction, as well as the sword weapon skill Spirits Within. Since Spirits Within deals damage based the user's health, it can easily one-shot even your tank if used near full health.

In addition, Ark Angel EV has two unique abilities - Shield Strike and the weapon skill Dominion Slash. Shield Strike deals damage and stuns enemies in cone, while Dominion Slash is an area of effect attack which also dispels and inflicts silence.

Etymology

An archangel is an angel of high rank. Beings similar to archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, but the word "archangel" is usually associated with Abrahamic religions. The word is derived from the Greek ἀρχάγγελος (arch- + angel, literally chief angel).
