Arachno is an enemy in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. It is a battle robot made by Shinra Electric Power Company.

The Arachno will sometimes unleash Super EM Field, a very powerful attack.
Strategy
The player is best guarding against Super EM Field, then try to land some sword attacks from behind to inflict critical damage.
Another strategy would be to doublecast Energy while guarding and avoiding its attacks. This is recommended if the player is under-leveled.

Etymology
Arachne is the name of a mythological Greek weaver who boasted she had skills surpassing that of Athena, the goddess of weaving. For this hubris, Athena transformed her and her descendants into spiders.
